All goats must be groomed; goats will be shown with a collar or short leash or halter.

Lot 1 • Dairy Goat
1. Milk Doe under 1 year
2. Milk Doe, over 1, under 2 years
3. Milk Doe, over 2 years
Clipping of dairy goats is optional. All horns must be tipped.
Lot 2 • Angora Goat
4. Angora Doe, under 1 year
5. Angora Doe, over 1, under 2 years
6. Angora Doe, over 2 years
Angora goats should not be washed or clipped. However, foreign matter (straw, manure, burrs, etc.) must be removed from fleece prior to show.
Lot 3 • Meat Goat
9. Doe, under 1 year
10. Doe, over 1, under 2 years
11 . Doe, over 2 years
Clipping of meat goats is optional; all horns need to be tipped.
Lot 4 • Pygmy Goat

Pygmy goats should be shown in a clean natural coat.

Minimum Weight is 50 lbs.
Lot 5 • Meat Goat - 4-H & FFA only
1. All Meat Goats will be does or weathered buck kids 1 year or under, using tooth rule to determine age.
2. All Meat Goats must be uniformly shorn 1⁄4” or less above knee & hocks.
3. Meat Goats horns must be tipped.
4. Meat Goats must have collars to be shown and will be tethered if they can jump out of the pen.
5. All Meat Goats will be weighed and divided into classes.
6. Superintendents will determine classes based on number of entries.
Lot 6 • County Bred Meat Goats 4-H & FFA only
Minimum Weight is 50 lbs.
Goats must be born, raised and purchased in Sierra County. Same rules as market meat goats apply with exception of Nomination Date, which is June 15.
County Bred Meat Goats will be shown before the regular meat goat show.
The Champion County Bred Meat Goat will be required to sell in the Jr. Livestock Sale.
