Lot 1 • Breeding Ewes
All breeding sheep are to be shown slick shorn.
MUTTON BREEDS
1. Ewe Lamb, under 1 year
2. Ewe, over 1, under 2 years

FINE WOOL BREEDS
4. Ewe Lamb, under 1 year
5. Ewe, over 1, under 2 years

Lot 2 • Market Lambs • 4-H & FFA only
80 lbs. Minimum. Lambs must be under one year of age. Ewe lambs may be shown as market lambs but then cannot be shown in the breeding class. Lambs will be classified at scales. All lamb classes must have 3 animals showing or they will be combined with another class. All lambs must be slick- shorn with a uniform fleece no longer than 1⁄4 inch. Superintendents will determine classes based on number of entries.
13. FINE WOOL: to be classified according to wool, include: Ram-bouilet, Debouillet, Columbia, Delaine and Merion types.
14. FINE WOOL CROSS: to include: Hampshire, Suffolk, Dorsett, Chevoit or Montadale, crossed on Fine Wool, must be 50% fine wool.
15. SOUTHDOWN: to include: Shropshire or any sheep showing Southdown or Shropshire blood.
16. MUTTON: to include: Dorsett, Montadale, Chevoit, Hampshire, Suffolk, and any crosses between these breeds:
17. HAIR SHEEP: to include Dorper, Barbado, St. Croiz, Katahdin, or any crosses between these breeds.
Lot 3 • County Bred Lambs • 4-H & FFA only
Lambs must be born, raised and purchased in Sierra County. Same rules as Market Lambs apply with exception of Nomination Date, which is June 15th. County Bred Lambs will be shown before the regular lamb show. The Champion County Bred Lamb is required to sell in the Jr. Livestock Sale.
